Our Mission

At Swimming for Life, we believe swimming is an essential life skill. Our underlying mission is to ensure every child has the opportunity to learn how to swim safely and confidently.


Float, Move, Thrive: Aquatic Fitness for Every Stage of Life. 

We support open-water swim events that promote aquatic fitness with an emphasis on saving lives through swim education.

    Nathaniel Waring

    Nathaniel is the co-founder of UltraSwim 33.3, an epic adventure swim race comprised of multiple swims over 4 days totaling 33.3 kms, the iconic English Channel distance. UltraSwim 33.3 produces races in Montenegro, Croatia, Greece and Switzerland with swimmers from all over the World.  A graduate of Stanford University, his professional 

    Nathaniel is the co-founder of UltraSwim 33.3, an epic adventure swim race comprised of multiple swims over 4 days totaling 33.3 kms, the iconic English Channel distance. UltraSwim 33.3 produces races in Montenegro, Croatia, Greece and Switzerland with swimmers from all over the World.  A graduate of Stanford University, his professional career spanned the luxury travel business, before retiring and swimming for life.  He spent a year in French Polynesia living on the island of Moorea, swimming the 12-mile crossing between Tahiti and Moorea and setting a new course record of 4 hours and 57 minutes. He now lives on the island of Florianopolis in southern Brazil where he leads open water swim experiences around Campeche Island for his company, OceanSwimFit.

    Andy is a Scottish-Australian ultra-marathon swimmer, a three-time World Record holder, and the World Open Water Swimming Association’s Man of the Year 2023. Recognized as one of the world’s top endurance athletes, he has consistently pushed the boundaries of open water swimming while combining purpose with sport.  Andy held the World Rec

    Andy is a Scottish-Australian ultra-marathon swimmer, a three-time World Record holder, and the World Open Water Swimming Association’s Man of the Year 2023. Recognized as one of the world’s top endurance athletes, he has consistently pushed the boundaries of open water swimming while combining purpose with sport.  Andy held the World Record for the Manhattan Island Swim (46km), the British Record for the English Channel (33km).  He swam 220km around Maui to promote ocean health, and 170km around the Kingdom of Bahrain to inspire people to dream big and to show the power of working together as a team.

    Jack is a global sports marketer and event producer, most recently supporting UltraSwim 33.3 epic swim adventures on the Adriatic and Agean seas, and currently partnering with Swim Miami to produce the first Pier-to-Pier UltraMarathon Race in April 2026. His firm has spearheaded high-impact marketing campaigns, working with elite swimwear

    Jack is a global sports marketer and event producer, most recently supporting UltraSwim 33.3 epic swim adventures on the Adriatic and Agean seas, and currently partnering with Swim Miami to produce the first Pier-to-Pier UltraMarathon Race in April 2026. His firm has spearheaded high-impact marketing campaigns, working with elite swimwear brands such as Speedo, Arena, and Jantzen, as well as Olympic Gold Medalists Mark Spitz and Michael Phelps.  In 2009, he represented Jennifer Figge as she swam several sections of the Atlantic Ocean from the Cape Verde Islands to Trinidad, (roughly 2,160 mi (3,480 km), spending much of the time in a shark cage while swimming up to 8 hours a day, battling strong winds and waves up to 30 feet.
